Welcome
The Art of Incident Command
Your initial response to a disaster is critical to saving human lives and reducing damage to private and public properties.
Why CommandPlan?
CommandPlan is an Incident Command (IC) training platform for the first responder affording you an opportunity to exercise, build or assess your incident command skills. In the training simulation your role as the first responder puts you on scene at the command vantage point with visual and aural cues and have at your disposal resources to manage. The simulated team members interact via radio and face to face comunications. Under your command these "agents" perform operations and interact with civilians, geography and dynamic disaster parameters. As in real life, agents can be resource or capacity limited and one of your challenges as an IC is to manage the resources available to you.

NIMS Incident Levels
The National Incident Management System (NIMS) provides a framework to enhance the ability of responders, including the private sector and NGOs, to work together more effectively. CommandPlan scenarios target the Incident Commander's skill to oversee all operations at the incident as it unfolds.

National Planning Scenarios
The National Planning Scenarios depict a diverse set of high-consequence threat scenarios of both potential terrorist attacks and natural disasters. Collectively, the 15 scenarios are designed to focus contingency planning for homeland security preparedness work at all levels of government and with the private sector. The scenarios form the basis for coordinated federal planning, training, exercises, and grant investments needed to prepare for emergencies of all types. CommandPlan is ready to train on mass casualty incidents such as earthquake, hurricane, biological, nuclear, radiological, and disease related scenarios.
Authorable Scenarios
CommandPlan was designed to meet the Incident Command training requirements of any organization size. From rural to city, state or federal it is possible for a scenario author to create localized training scenarios right now.
